I'm guessing that the one on the left is a street drain and the one on the right is a mushroom. Good shots.

the left is a drain, the right - I have no idea, such an odd object, I've never seem it before

The one on the left is a Texas gate to keep ungulates on one side or the other. And the right is a mushroom or fungus. It appears that Cinderela's Fairy Godmother has made a door prior to turning it into a coach.

ACTUALLY, the one on the left is a way to keep the SWISS cows from crossing to another field... they leave the road open for hikers and sometimes for cars...and this is a way to keep the cows from moving on to another field...
